1 Hour Yoga Nidra For Insomnia: Soothing Ocean And Delta Waves

1–2 minutes

This 1-hour meditation offers a sanctuary from the stressors of insomnia to promote healing and restorative peace. There is approximately 20 minutes of guided meditation and 40 minutes of music that is specifically designed to lower anxiety and promote deep unconscious sleep. The ocean waves, combined with 4 Hz Delta Wave frequency in the music, promotes effortless relaxation and calms symptoms of unrest that contribute to insomnia. This particular guided meditation incorporates a modified Yoga Nidra technique to induce a deep state of serenity, leading to unconscious sleep to alleviate insomnia. This technique differs slightly from standard Non-Sleep Deep Rest forms of Yoga Nidra, since there is no intention to maintain trace awareness. Instead, use this meditation if you want to drift off to sleep with peace and ease.

I wish to extend deep appreciation and gratitude to these teachers (Ally Boothroyd, Tiina Kivinen, Kristyn Rose Foster, and Lauretta Dunford) in this beautiful program which I highly recommend: https://allyboothroyd.com/online-yoga-nidra-teacher-training/
